The BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) has selected a new President and Vice-President to serve the needs of seniors' care providers in BC. BCCPA has represented non-profit, private and denominational residential care, assisted living and home support providers for over 30 years. BCCPA members care for more than 10,000 seniors a day in BC and employ over 8,000 people. Here is a summary of new BCCPA
President: Mary McDougall (Vancouver)
Mary is President of Trellis Seniors Services - a seniors housing and services company that manages long term care facilities and provides consulting to seniors housing operators across BC. Mary is also a CA, certified management consultant and member of the Provincial Health Services Authority Board of Directors.
BCCPA Vice-President: David Cheperdak (Victoria)
David is the CEO of the Broadmead Care Society - a non-profit organization which owns and operates The Lodge at Broadmead and the Veterans Health Centre in BC's Capital Region. David has been involved in regional and national seniors care issues for many years and served the BCCPA Board of Directors previously as a representative for Vancouver Island.
BCCPA CEO Ed Helfrich welcomed May and David to their new positions and also recognized the contributions of Christine Nidd and Hendrik Van Ryk - who just completed two full terms as BCCPA President and Vice-President respectively. Here is a complete list of the 2010-2011 BCCPA Board of Directors:
