New seniors website provides access to a flurry of information

- CFAX Radio - Victoria (Mar 18, 2010)

The province has launched a new "seniors website " to provide seniors and their families with better access to information on available programs and services. Healthy living and sport minister Ida Chong announced that seniorsbc.ca can now quickly locate up to date information about topics on healthy living, transportation, finances, continuing education, recreation programs and volunteer opportunities.

It also offers a number of videos for seniors which chong says are important in enhancing dialogue. Chong says they surveyed older British Columbians and care givers to learn what they would like to see in a seniors website and from there designed seniorsbc.ca!
