BCCPA consulting Members on Action Plan Update

In 2008, the BC Care Providers Association completed a comprehensive action plan that identified a series of solutions to the challenges facing the senior's care sector. The plan focused on increasing staffing levels in residential care facilities and securing a province-wide contract for care providers. With the appointment of a new BC health Minister and in light of the uncertainty that has been created by the current economic downtown, BCCPA is in the process of updating that plan in consultation with our members and other stakeholders.

A draft Action Plan update has been circulated to BCCPA members that include a set of 10 specific recommendations for Minister Falcon to consider in his effort to make the senior's health care system more efficient and sustainable. The plan will be finalized based on input BCCPA receives from a series of workshops have been organized. A final set of recommendations will be sent to Minister Falcon by the end of the month and posted on this site shortly after.
